How The Residents Tahoe Got Started

One day Ted Kennedy decided he wanted to put a band together. He called me up and asked if I could play drums. I said no. Then I said, but I can learn. That one conversation started everything. From a guy who couldn’t play drums to performing live at the Hard Rock Casino on the 4th of July with fireworks going off outside, The Residents Tahoe origin story is honestly one for the books. Here’s how it all happened.

What It’s Like to See The Residents Tahoe Live

I’m just going to say it, if you haven’t seen The Residents Tahoe live yet, you’re missing out. The energy hits different from the second they start playing. Before you know it you’re singing along, the kids are up on stage dancing, and everybody in the room is having the time of their life. That’s just what a Residents show does to you. South Lake Tahoe’s own and they never disappoint.

I didn’t know what I was getting into the first time I heard The Residents Tahoe. But the second they started playing I was singing along, and I haven’t stopped since. These guys are the real deal. South Lake Tahoe originals with a full band of ridiculously talented musicians, original songs that’ll give you chills, and the kind of live energy you just can’t fake.
